793,879. Tar boilers. MUNICIPAL APPLIANCES CO., Ltd. Nov. 5, 1956 [Aug. 11, 1955], No. 23130/55. Class 107 A flue for a tar boiler having spaced inner and outer containers 11. 12 comprises double walls, the inner being perforated, so that on combustion taking place inside the flue no hot gases can impinge directly onto the inner container holding the tar. As shown the flue 17 comprises a perforated inner wall 18 of inverted U-shape secured by supports 20 in the boiler, and the outer wall is provided by an arcuate plate 19 having perforations staggered with respect to those of the inner wall. The oil burner extends into the flue thus formed. Many other shapes of flue crosssection are disclosed.
