793,209. Milling-machines. ETABLISSEMENTS GASTON DUFOUR. Dec. 23, 1955 [March 2, 1955], No. 36916/55. Class 83 (3). A milling-machine comprises a main-head 3 and an auxiliary universal-head 8 which is mounted laterally of the main-head at the upper part of the machine frame, and means for moving the auxiliary-head parallel to and perpendicular to the main spindle. A vertically and horizontally-adjustable slide 6 carries a hollow support 4 supporting a rotatable elbow 7 and a rotatable head 8 having a spindle 8a, Fig. 6. The spindle is driven from the main spindle through gears 11, 12. The head is displaced longitudinally by a rack 17 and pinion driven from the gears which also feed the worktable 2. Alternatively, the head may be displaced longitudinally and rotated by an electric-motor at the end of the support 4. Two auxiliary heads may be provided.
