Class 65(2) [Also in Groups XXIV and XXXIV] A bearing for a trunnion pin 1 of a universal joint comprises a synthetic plastic.cup-shaped lining 2 and a steel slipper disc 4 interposed between the end 1a of the trunnion and the base 3 of the lining 2. The disc 4 may be roughened to prevent it from rotating with respect to the base 3. In a modification, the disc 4 is resiliently mounted on an elastic dished disc 5, Fig. 3. The lining 2 is reinforced by a cup 6. In a further modification, the disc 4 is omitted and the end 1a of the trunnion bears directly on the resilient disc 5.
