Abstract

792,963. Crates for bottles. T.N.R. ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Sept. 30, 1955 [Nov. 24, 1954], No. 34012/54. Class 18. A crate has bottle-receiving spaces defined, at least in part, by resilient, discrete, upstanding strip members attached to the crate bottom. The main frame-work of the crate is made by welding mild steel bar or rod and the bottom is formed of U-shaped strip steel members 19, 20 rivetted together where they cross one another at 22 and suspended from similar supports 17, 18 to which they are rivetted. The bottlereceiving spaces are formed by members 23, 24, rivetted to one another at 34, to the base 19, 20 and to the supports 17, 18. The members 23, 24 may be arranged parallel to the sides of the crate as shown or they may be arranged diagonally in which case each rivet 34 will be vertically above a rivet 22.
