Abstract

466,224. Bottle crates. ROBINS, J. H. Dec. 16, 1935, No. 34800. [Class 18] The contents of a bottle crate are cushioned by double-headed rubber studs 8, Fig. 4, which are sprung into apertures or closed-ended slots in the sides, bottom, and partitions of the crate. In the case of long slots, the studs may cover all or only a part thereof. Where the bottles are positioned in apertures in division plates 15, Fig. 9, the studs 8 are sprung into apertures in tongues 17 bent out of the plates 15 during the formation of .the bottle-positioning apertures. The heads of studs projecting outside the crate serve as crate-cushioning means or feet. A crate can be made of wood, metal, &c., a metal crate being formed from strips 1, Fig. 1, and corner pieces 2 and provided with handles 3 and interengaging partitions 4.
