792,469. Roller skates. LONDOT, C. A. Dec. 7, 1954 [Dec. 8, 1953; Dec. 1, 1954], No. 35368/54. Class 132(1) Each axle of a four wheel roller skate is secured to an extension of a plate 25 by a shaft 9 passing through the extension and the axle, freely through an elastic block 14 and secured at its end to a longitudinal member 3 of the skate frame so as to clamp the block between the extension and the member, the plate 25 being formed to cooperate with a strip 21, 22 integral with the skate frame. Sole and heel plates 1, 2 are connected to a member 3 by spacers 4. The centre portion 5 of each axle is of square cross-section, one side having a central boss 6 with a hole 7 for shaft 9 and the opposite side having two flaps 8. The top of shaft 9 passes through a grommet 15 fitted in a hole in member 3 and is held by a preferably self-locking nut 16. Plate 25 is U-shaped and fits between flaps 8 where it is held by shaft 9 which passes therethrough. Each strip 21, 22 is riveted to a spacer 4 and extends downwardly through member 3 having at its lower end a cross piece 24 whose extremities bear against the links of member 25. A bracket 23 secured to sole plate 1 carries an element 28 which engages the underside of an elastic disc 19 which is secured by a screw 30 threaded into a hole in element 28, Fig. 1, disc 19 forming a bumper.
