792,289. Typewriters and like machines. TRIUMPH WERKE NURNBERG AKT.- GES. Aug. 30 1956 [Oct. 13, 1955], No. 26464/56. Class 100(4) A key-lever tension adjusting device for typewriters &c. comprises an anchor plate 7 which is pivoted at a point A of the framework level with the points at which all key-lever springs 4 are attached to the key levers 2 so that the tension of the springs is kept constant during the displacement of the springs and plate 7. A handle 8 is attached to the plate 7, and, in the position shown, maximum tension is in the springs 4, but when the handle 8 is moved in either direction to the negative signs, and as indicated by the dotted lines, the tension in the springs against key depression is reduced. This adjusting device requires no effort against the tension of the springs to affect the adjustment.
