Abstract
791,563. Axial flow blowers and fans. VAGHI, J. Oct. 28, 1955 [May 2, 1955], No. 30881/55. Class 110 (1). [Also in Group XXXIII] A blower or fan blade comprising an elongated member 11 having a greater width than thickness and one substantially straight longitudinal edge 12, while its other edge 13 has a reversely curved corrugated contour forming a series of alternating convex ribs and concave recesses 18, is constructed so that the wavy contour extends over substantially the whole width of the blade with the height and depth of the ribs and recesses thus formed diminishing towards the straight edge, the corrugated surface extending to both sides of the blade. The width of the blade gradually increases from one end to the other and the depth of the recesses increases correspondingly. The blade extends radially from a hub and is inclined to the axis of rotation thereof by an amount increasing from the inner to the outer end of the blade.
