Abstract

601,160. Screw propellers. KENNETT, V. A. April 5, 1945, No. 8461. [Class 114] [Also in Group XXVI] A fan impeller or propeller has a number of blades each defined by a number of circular arcs 5, '6, 7, 9, and such that the axially projected area of all the blades approximates to a complete disc. The leading edge 9 of each blade is concave and the tip pointed. The blades are mainly flat with a slight concavity up to the leading cages. The complete impeller may be cut and pressed from one sheet of metal.
