790,795. Pistons. GASKELL & CHAMBERS, Ltd., [trading as NON - DRIP MEASURE CO.]. June 19, 1956 [July 20,1955], No. 21036/55. Class 122 (1). A piston comprises a cylindrical body 1 having tapered recesses 3 in each end and washers 4 of rubber or like resilient material forced into the recesses to form two oppositely - acting frusto - conical packing rings adapted to bear against the cylinder wall by their outer edges 7 only. The washers are clamped between the body 1 and metal discs 5, 6 each having a spigot 11 to enter the washer bore and a serrated surface 12 to engage the central portion of the washer.
