Abstract

789,836. Jet propulsion plant. SOC. NATIONALE D'ETUDE ET DE CONSTRUCTION DE MOTEURS D'AVIATION. Oct. 17, 1955 [Oct. 15, 1954], No. 29562/55. Class 110 (3). [Also in Group XXXIII] In Fig. 2, a jet nozzle 1 is formed with portions 2a, 2b pivoted on axes 3a, 3b and movable by jacks 4a, 4b. One or other portion 2a, 2b is moved to deflect the jet. In Figs. 3, a plurality of guide vanes 6 are provided, and diametrically extending members 9a, 9b are movable between the positions shown in full and chain-dotted lines to reverse the jet. The vanes may be shaped so that the deflected jet issues at rightangles to the nozzle axis. Specifications 691,302, 696,088, [Group XXXIII], 733,727 and 750,623 are referred to.
