Abstract
764,180. Jet outlet. ROLLS-ROYCE, Ltd. Sept. 24, 1953 [Sept. 24, 1952], No. 24016/52. Class 4. [Also in Group XXVI] A jet outlet is formed between a pair of spaced deflectors pivoted to swing simultaneously and equally about parallel axes (c) adjacent the upstream ends of the deflectors which are shaped to have a throat (t<SP>1</SP>, t<SP>2</SP>, t<SP>3</SP>,) which in each angular position is in a plane substantially at right angles to the line (d<SP>1</SP>, d<SP>2</SP>, d<SP>3</SP>) of resultant thrust and which is of substantially equal area in all angular positions. Fixed fairings b may be provided. Specification 753,656 is referred to.
