Abstract

789,674. Centrifugal fans. PLESSEY CO., Ltd. Feb. 3, 1956 [Dec. 3, 1954], No. 35012/54. Class 110 (1). All the ducts of an impeller are formed between two parallel discs, one of which is formed with blade-forming depressions extending into contact with the other disc. The fan impeller shown, which may be used in a suction cleaner, comprises a metal disc 3 having a large central hole 4 and formed with pressed-out cycloidal channels 5. The disc 3 is spot-welded at the channels 5 to a metal disc 1 so as to form cycloidal passages 7.
