789,439. Drying apparatus. STORD MARIN INDUSTRI AKTIESELSKAP Oct. 16, 1956, No. 31406/56. Class 34(2): A drying apparatus for drying animal materials comprises a steam-jacketed stationary cylindrical drum having an inlet 12, Fig. 1, and outlet 13 for the material in which is mounted a hollow cylinder 19 carrying a plurality of hollow disc-shaped members 22. Steam is supplied to each disc through pipes 17, 24 and when the cylinder 19 is rotated in an anticlockwise direction the condensate is collected by a partition plate 28, Fig. 2, and passes through a stub pipe 27 into the interior of cylinder 19 and is exhausted through a pipe 29.
