788,870. Knitting-machines. MONK (SUTTON IN ASHFIELD), Ltd., S. A. June 22, 1956 [June 23, 1955], No. 18136/55. Drawings to Specification. Class 74 (2). The locating plunger associated with each fashioning screw of a straight-bar machine operates a switch in the circuit of an electric lamp, the switch being opened when the plunger is in its operative position in which it registers with a recess in its associated disc, and closed to switch on the lamp when it is moved out of its recess. The switches for the plungers are arranged in parallel so that the lamp is switched on if any plunger is not registering correctly with its disc. A master switch may be included in the circuit which renders the switches inoperative during normal working of the machine and renders them operative only during the period in which the fashioning screws are being reset after finishing one garment and prior to the commencement of the next.
