769,098. Stop-motion for jacquard mechanism. JARDINE, Ltd., J. March 23, 1955 [March 25, 1954], No. 8764/54. Class 142 (2). [Also in Group VIII] Each card of a jacquard pattern chain has an additional hole 12 at each side which is engaged by a plunger 15 of an electric switch 9 if the card is correctly aligned on the hexagonal roller 1. If a card is misaligned, one of the plungers will be depressed when the card and the roller rise towards the detector needles 8, the corresponding switch will be actuated, and the machine will be stopped.
