Abstract

892,072. Knitting-machines. MONK (SUTTON IN ASHFIELD) Ltd., S. A., and MONK, S. A. Sept. 8, 1960 [June 11, 1959], No. 19960/59. Drawings to Specification. Class 74 (2). Electrical relay-operated switches are provided instead of the cams used in Specification 865,364 to determine the number of courses between each fashioning course. The selector switches used for determining the fashioning courses are selectively coupled to the relayoperated switches which correspond in number to the maximum number of courses between fashioning courses. The desired number of courses having been determined, after the corresponding number of relay switches have been operated the selector switch operates a solenoid to close a switch which energizes the solenoid which moves the cam-shaft to effect a fashioning motion. The movement of the cam-shaft opens a switch in the circuit of the relay-operated switches to open and reset the latter.
