788,805. Electrodeposition of bright chromium. HARSHAW CHEMICAL CO. April 26, 1955, No. 11981/55. Class 41. Bright chromium electrodeposits are produced on bright cathode surfaces of antimony, tin, silver or lead from an aqueous bath containing 100 to 700 grams per litre of chromic acid, 15 to 35 per cent of this weight of acetate ion and sulphate in a concentration of 0.3 to 1 per cent of the weight of chromic-acid. Preferably the bath is used at 75‹ to 130‹ F. with a cathode current density of 100 to 400 amps/sq. ft.
