Abstract
1,132,809. Electrolytic coating with cadmium. ALFRED TEVES MASCHINEN-UND ARMATURENFABRIK K.G. June 10, 1966 [Sept.25, 1965], No.26004/66. Heading C7B. In electrolytically depositing Cd coatings on Fe or steel (e.g. spring steel) from a cyanide containing both, the electrolyte is free from alkali metal hydroxide and has a Cd ion content of 45-55 g/l with a ratio by weight between cyanide and Cd ions of 1À0 - 1À2. The electrolysis may be at a current density of less than 5 amp /dm<SP>2</SP> and at a temperature of less than 50‹C.
