Abstract

Ice-colours are prepared in textile printing by locally applying to the textile a paste which is free from compounds splitting off acid and compounds binding alkali and contains a coupling component, a caustic alkali and a diazoamino compound obtained from a diazotized amine of the formula: <FORM:0788689/IV (b)/1> wherein X1 is alkyl or halogen and X2 is alkyl, alkoxy or halogen and (as stabilizer) 2-alkylamino - 5 - (or 4 -) sulphobenzoic acid, and then developing the dyestuff by treatment with neutral steam.
