788,623. Electric heaters. TUGEN, R. G. Nov. 3, 1955 [Nov. 10, 1954], No. 31471/55. Class 39(3) A combined electrical radiator and convection heater' comprises one or more radiant heating elements 4 mounted in front of a reflector 3 which, with a rear wall 9 and end walls forms an air channel 7 provided with adjustable louvres 24 at its outlet 11. Removably mounted within the channel is a heat exchanger 12 which consists of one or more convection heating elements 13 mounted on end walls 17, front and rear walls 14, 16 together with heating plates 18 each being formed with ribs 22 to provide air passages 19, and the end walls extending downwardly to support a baffle 21. Louvres 27 direct air flow over the element(s) 4 and air is admitted to the channel 7 via openings 23. The convection and radiation elements may be energized independently or simultaneously.
