787,303. Road foundation. ALGEMEENE KUNSTVEZEL MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. Jan. 24, 1956 [Jan. 24, 1955], No. 2288/56. Class 107 A road is protected from frost damage by the interposition between it and the supporting earth of a thermally insulating layer. The earth 1 has a layer 2 of bitumen bonded glass fibre, surmounted by a layer 4 of mortar, supporting blocks 5, a stone layer 6, waterproofing 7 and final surface 8. A concrete road similarly protected is also disclosed.
