A former, or cup, to receive a piece of glass, or transparent plastic, and adapted for embedding in reinforced structures to form a rooflight, pavement light, or the like, is made of plastic, lugs A1, for bonding with the surrounding concrete, being formed on one, or more, sides of the cup. The lugs A1 may be shaped to embrace reinforcing rods used in the borrowed light structure.
