Abstract
786,744. Polyphase motors. LACY, R. D. Jan. 13, 1956 [Oct. 15, 1954; Nov. 17, 1955], Nos. 29766 and 32940/55. Class 35. A motor, particularly of hysteresis type, with a stator co-operating with each side of a disc rotor, the windings on the two or various stators being energized from different phases of the supply has the stator cores of powdered magnetic material. As shown, the two phase motor has the two imbricated pole stators angularly staggered by half a pole pitch and the total air gap is determined by spacer 36. The position of the rotor 34 in the gap is adjustable by shims 33 in conjunction with the spring 35. The stator members are of moulded powdered material except in the modifications described in the first Provisional Specification. Specification 784,575 is referred to.
