768,415. Induction motors. TELEFUNKEN GES. April 14, 1955 [April 15, 1954], No. 10717/55. Class 35. A single-phase induction motor, e.g. for gramophones &c., has a stator comprising a laminated bar 2 carrying the windings 3, 4 and having a bore accommodating the rotor 1, magnetic yokes 6, 7 serving to grip the ends of the bar and providing bearings for the rotor shaft 5. The motor is rendered self-starting by means of shading rings 10, 11.
