Abstract

780,237. Locking bolt-like pins; circlips. WALDES KOH-I-NOOR, Inc. July 29, 1955 [Aug. 4, 1954], No. 21998/55. Classes 89(1) and 89(2) A self-locking retaining-ring has a closed annular body 10, Fig. 2, of V-crosssection, with radial prongs 12a extending from the inner edge of the body at the same inclination to the general plane of the body as the inner body portion 10b. Said plane is the plane of intersection of the inner and outer body portions 10b, 10a. In use, the prongs dig into a shaft &c. receiving the ring, to lock the ring thereon. In a modification, the prongs 22a, Fig. 6, extend from the outer edge of the body 20 at the same inclination as the outer body portion 20b, and dig into the wall of a bore receiving the ring.
