Abstract

778,876. Fluid-pressure engines. WOYDT, E. March 21, 1955 [April 22, 1954], No. 8134/55. Class 122 (3). [Also in Groups XXVIII and XXIX] A reciprocating fluid-pressure motor has a number of units each comprising a working cylinder 33b for a piston 34 and a valve cylinder 40 for a piston valve 41 which controls the inflow and outflow of fluid to and from the cylinder 33b. These units are attached to beams 32 which extend parallel to the driving-shaft 36a so that the pistons 34 are radial to the shaft 36a. The beams are carried by end-plates 30, 31 which may be secured to a base-plate by straps 93. The units may be connected to the beams 32 by trunnions so that members 35 carried by the pistons 34 may be aligned with the eccentric 36; the members 35 carry rollers 48 guided in slots 49a in a frame connected to the unit. The slide valves 41 are actuated by an eccentric 26 through rods 24, 29 and bell-crank 22.
