Abstract

774,742. Detachable shoe studs. SAXONE SHOE CO., Ltd. Sept. 30, 1955 [March 31, 1955], No. 9400/55. Class 17 (3). Two or more threaded sockets 3 to receive studs 7 are rigidly connected by a thin flexible metal strap 4 secured by spot welding 5a to flanges 5 of the sockets 3 in such a way that the strap 4 closes the inner end of the sockets in a watertight manner. The sockets 3 extend through pre-formed holes in the outer sole or heel and are preferably arranged so that the strap 4 extends transversely across the sole so as not to impair its flexibility.
