Abstract
773,923. Earth-excavating apparatus. ELECTRIC STEEL FOUNDRY CO. July 21, 1955 No. 21184/55. Class 68 (1). Integral with and between the limbs 30, 31 of a V-shaped digging tooth 21 are webs 34 which together with the limbs 30, 31 define wedge-shaped recesses into which enter the complementary shaped fingers 28 of a supporting member 19 that can be secured to the leading edge of an excavator bucket. To draw and hold the tooth securely on the fingers 28, there is mounted on a pin 36, secured in and extending between the webs 34, an eye bolt 38 that extends through an upwardly inclined conical bore 26 in the portion 25 of the member 19 and carries on a threaded portion of the shank 39 of the bolt 38 nut 40 that can abut the rear face 27 of the portion 25.
