Abstract
773,218. Inductors. PLESSEY CO., Ltd. Aug. 15, 1955 [Aug. 20, 1954], No. 24276/54. Class 38 (2). An electromagnetic choke comprises two similar magnetic cores 11 of L shape fitted together to form a generally rectangular profile, the longer limb of each core 11 carrying a coil 13 and passing through an aperture 14 in each of two insulating plates 12 which abut one against the short limb of one core and one against the short limb of the other core, the two cores 11 thereby being held in spaced parallelism to form a mechanically robust structure. The insulating plates 12 may carry terminals 15 and any other desired associated apparatus such as capacitors.
