694,589. Transformers and inductances. METROPOLITAN-VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO., Ltd. Dec. 18, 1951 [Jan. 19, 1951], No. 1511/51. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (ii). Electromagnetic apparatus having one or more laminated magnetic cores of high permeability material and one or more spool wound coils associated therewith is provided with mounting means which comprise a pair of spaced plates clamped together on to the spool(s) of the one or more coils, the magnetic core(s) being in turn supported by the coil(s) and projecting through openings in the plates. The plates have end flanges to axially locate the core(s) and a terminal board may be attached to one of the plates.
