Abstract

773,102. Fluid pressure buffers; hydro-pneumatic springs. SIEGENER EISENBAHNBEDARF AKT.-GES. May 27, 1955 [May 29, 1954; June 11, 1954; June 11, 1954; Jan. 5, 1955], No. 15452/55. Classes 103(5) and 108(3). A fluid pressure buffer , has an internal resilient sleeve 5 surrounded bv metal thrust rings 6 and is partially filled with oil so as to leave an air space 14 which is decreased in volume during buff when the piston 11 displaces fluid from the interior of the member 10 through the clearance between the members and the holes 9. To control the flow of fluid through the holes 9 a a sleeve 19 may be fitted over the member 10 so that an impact on the buffer face displaces the sleeve 19 axially against the spring 18 to uncover the holes 9. The tube 11 may also be provided with holes controlled bv a further sleeve which may be resiliently connected to the other sleeve.
