772,964. Collapsible tubes. HEDLEY & CO., Ltd., T. (Procter & Gamble Co.). July 8, 1955, No. 19893/55. Class 66. A collapsible tube has an extruded seamless body 2 of substantially constant periphery throughout its length, the major axis B thereof being at least twice as long as the minor axis A. The tube has an integral and rigid shoulder member 4 at one end with a centrally disposed dispensing orifice and cap 6. The flat fish-tail bottom closure 14 coincides with the plane of the major axis B. The tube crosssection may be elliptical, flat with rounded ends or flattened hexagonal, and may have longitudinal ridges defining lines of fold.
