625,610. Collapsable tubes. HUGHES, Ltd., E. G., HARRIS, W. S., GRAY, T. F., and GRAY, K. V. June 10, 1947, No. 15194. [Class 66] A nipple 18 of rubber &c. shaped as illustrated, and slit at 13 to provide a self-closing extrusion opening is fixed on the nozzle end of a collapsable tube 1 by placing it in a socket 16 in which it fits and turning over inwardly a metal flange 6 as by spinning. In modifications, the flange 6 is serrated; its lower exterior surface is screw-threaded to receive a screw cap or is grooved or ridged to hold on a coat or skin covering which may be shrunk or stuck on or made by dipping.
