Abstract

1,247,600. Surgical douche. FUJIMOTO CO. Ltd. 31 Dec., 1969, No. 63518/69. Heading A5R. A vaginal douche comprises a container 1, made of an elastic synthetic resin, e.g. a transparent co-polymer of vinyl acetate and ethylene, having a mouth 2 and external screw thread 2' a hollow nozzle 3 having a flange 4 and axially extending grooves 5, each having at least one hole 6, and a connecting member 7 for securing the nozzle 3 to the container 1 so that it projects for use or with the cap, 10, is housed within the container 1. The container 1 is filled with a suitable cleansing liquid L which sterilises the nozzle 3. For use, the nozzle 3 is arranged so that the flange 4 rests on container 1 and is secured by screwing the member 7 to the container. The liquid is sprayed through the holes 6 by squeezing container 1. To facilitate this operation a tube 11, having a flange 12 may be located within the container so that the liquid L may be forced through into the nozzle 3 from a very low liquid level. The tube 11 may be stored inside the nozzle 3 when housed within the container 1 (Fig. 4 not shown).
