Abstract

771,753. Moving signs. GILBERT & BARKER MANUFACTURING CO. Sept. 20, 1955, No. 26830/55. Classes 3 (1) and 3 (2). The cover of a dispensing apparatus, such as a petrol pump, is internally coated with translucent material and is provided with windows 6 for viewing the dial faces 25 of the registering apparatus 20. Translucent advertising panels 32 are removably mounted in the cover as shown together with a moving sign, if so desired. The moving sign may constitute an endless band 37 of translucent material which is driven by an electric motor 42 and surrounds the electric lamps 50 serving to illuminate the members 25, 32, 37. In a modification, see Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown), the back of the plastic dial face is painted and illuminated by lamps overlying its upper edge.
