Abstract

A device for illuminating a transparency 7 comprises a housing 1, one or more lamps 2, a light-transmittive collar 5 defining an opening 6 and having a support flange 8, and a transparent cover 9, 11 fitting over the transparency 7 and collar 5 in a push-fit. As described, the part 10 is reflective so that a halo effect is produced around the illuminated transparency. Surfaces 13 may be provided for adhesive mounting.
