771,376. Band clips. THOMAS, H. P., JORDAN, R. C., CUSHENBERRY, E. B., and FELTON, R. E., [trading as THOMAS ASSOCIATES]. Aug. 9, 1954, No. 23077/54. Class 44. [Also in Group XXXVI] A supporting clip for electric cables &c. comprises a band having a loop portion, one end of which is provided with a thickened portion which bears on the opposite part of the loop when the loop is closed. As shown, a band 6 of bendable material has a loop 7 and apertured ends 8, 9 for securing by a bolt 10 to a support 11. One end of a resilient, channelsection, lining 13 has a triangular thickening 15 the outer surface of which presses against the opposite end of the lining when the clip is closed to protect the electric wires 12. In a modification the thickening may be at the opposite end of the loop and may be formed from a different material, e.g. natural or artificial rubber of a harder grade, and attached to the lining 13.
