770,724. Cooling pistons. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBERG - NURNBERG AKT.- GES. May 11, 1955 [May 11, 1954], No. 13673/ 55. Drawings to Specification. Class 122 (1). In an internal-combustion engine in which the pistons are cooled by pressure oil directed against the underside of each piston by a nozzle or other device supplied from the engine lubricating oil system, in order to ensure an adequate supply of oil to the lubricated parts of the engine at slow and idling speeds means, such as a spring-loaded lift valve, are provided in the supply line to the nozzle or other device to cutoff the supply thereto when the lubricating oil pressure falls below a predetermined level.
