Abstract
770,467. High-frequency discharge apparatus. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON. Aug. 16, 1954 [Aug. 15, 1953], No. 23840/54. Class 39(1). A high frequency oscillator comprising a cathode 1, a negative cylinder 4, a central anode 2 and a collector 7 in which the electrons oscillate in a plane parallel to a magnetic field NS while drifting sideways to the collector, as described in Specification 729,930, is turned by varying the angle alpha. The magnet or the tube may be turned. In Fig. 1, the tube is rotatably mounted on a turned coaxial resonator 104, 105. The cathode is a short helix parallel to the tube axis.
