Abstract
767,550. Loud-speakers. TESLA, NARODNI PODNIK. Nov. 3, 1954 [Nov. 14, 1953], No. 31799/54. Class 40 (4). A loud-speaker cabinet with the loud-speaker mounted on the front wall has the rear of the loud-speaker loaded by a number of damped sound passages within the cabinet, the length of the largest passage being equal to one-fourth of the wavelength corresponding to the resonant frequency of the loud-speaker. A cabinet of triangular cross-section has a chamber 2 immediately behind the loud-speaker leading into a number of chambers such as 4, 5 of different lengths l1, l2. These chambers may be damped over their entire lengths and may communicate with one another through acoustic impedances. In Fig. 5 the cabinet is of triangular crosssection and the loud-speaker is mounted in the front panel nearer to one end.
