[Also in Group XXIII] A lathe &c. comprises a saddle b carrying a slide i which can be moved by a lever n to compensate for inaccuracies in a traversing lead-screw c. The slide i, carrying a screwcutting tool t on an adjustable slide p, has a projection held in contact with the lever n by a spring k. The lever is pivoted at n<SP>1</SP> to the saddle and engages an adjustable correctorbar e. In a worm-grinding machine, the headstock u carrying the worm is moved on ballbearings by the lever n.
