765,540. Coffee &c. grinders. DITTING, A. March 3, 1955, No. 6384/55. Class 59 A grinder for coffee, spice and and the like comprises a stationary grinding disc 22 and a grinding disc 4 mounted on a rotatable shaft 3 which is axially displaceable in conjunction with a non-rotatable bush 7 having a screwthreaded portion 7a engaged by a spring-influenced ring nut 9 formed with gear teeth 10, the gear teeth being engaged by a gear wheel 16 mounted on a spring-influenced shaft 17 which is rotatable by a knob 18 to adjust the distance between the grinding discs, the shaft 17 being retracted and rotated when it is desired to alter the tooth engagement between the gears 9, 16. The shaft 17 is provided with a pin 17a, which after a single revolution of the shaft, engages an internal rib on the shaft housing.
