Abstract
765,329. Pneumatic conveyers. STAMICARBON N.V. March 7,1955 [March 8, 1954], No. 6648/55. Class 78 (1). Finely-divided solid material 9 is fed continuously into a gas flowing through pipes 6, 7 by allowing it to fall through a vertical pipe 1 into an open top conical vessel 2 which is vibrated vertically and is contained within a stationary casing 5 to which the pipes 6, 7 are connected. The pipe 1 depends well into the vessel 2 and an annular wall 8 projects downwardly into the mouth of the vessel. The pipe 1 may have a restriction 10 and gas may be introduced below it through a pipe 11 for the purpose of fluidizing the material at 12. The vessel 2 has a depending stem 3 to which vibrations are imparted by electromagnetic or other means.
