764,689. Electric heating cables. GOLDSTAUB, H. H. Oct. 15, 1954 [Nov. 18, 1953], No. 32024/53. Class 39(3) A flexible heating cable for wrapping round objects such as pipes is of moulded plastic material 5 in which are embedded two continuously extending conductors 1, 2 forming bus-bars and one or more parallel resistance heating wires 3 connected to the wires 1, 2 only at their projecting ends to terminals 8, by which lengths of cable may be joined together. The ends of the cables are clamped by transverse bars 11 in a connector 7 containing two pairs of terminals 8, 9 joined as shown by conducting bars 10. The conducting wires 1 are joined to each terminal 8, 9. The resistance wires 3, 4 in the units are connected between the conducting wires 1 normally in parallel but may be connected in series to vary the heating along the cable.
