Abstract
751,564. Cables. RESEARCH PRODUCTS, Inc. July 19, 1954, No. 20960/54. Class 36. [Also in Group XXXVII] A telephone cable having a plurality of pairs of conductors 1 is enclosed within two conductive foil wrappings 3, 5 separated by insulation 4, the foil 5 being helically applied in spaced convolutions. The ends of the foils are connected together at one end of the cable, preferably through a resistance-capacity unit 17, and at the other end are connected to an indicator circuit which operates an alarm if the foil 5 is cut or if a short-circuit is established between the two foils (see Group XXXVII).
