A pre-wired distribution unit assembled prior to positioning for use comprises a panel or casing 1 on which a plurality of like sets of electric power rockets 6 are mounted with their respective terminals connected in parallel by a harness system or a printed circuit. A precut cable 7 may be used and may have a plug on one end for connection to a wall socket. The cable 7 may also be arranged in a " ring main " configuration and the unit may be provided with an overload device, a switch or switches, and indicator lights.
