761,498. Governor driving - mechanism. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. July 20, 1954 [July 21, 1953], No. 21202/54. Class 57. [Also in Group XXXV] A magnetic resonant device for producing a speed reduction of a fixed number of revolutions per minute irrespective of the actual speed for increasing the sensitivity of a governor 16, comprises magnetized discs 12, 13, the latter being sprung on blades 14 so that the rate of rotation of disc 12 tends to equal its natural resonant frequency, this rate of rotation being subtracted from the driven rate by a differential gear 8, 10, 15. The magnetic elements may be drum-shaped. Specifications 708,127, 745,911 and 747,724, [all in Group XXXV], are referred to.
