Abstract

760,717. Electric motors. BERESFORD & SON, Ltd., J. Feb. 23, 1955 [Dec. 10, 1953], No. 34364/53. Class 35. In a submersible motor with a metallic liner sealing the stator from the rotor, plastic material bonds the liner to the stator and fills the otherwise vacant spaces about the windings and the leads thereto. As shown, the plastic material is bonded both to the metal casing 10 and the metal liner 12 as well as end rings 16 and one section of a plug and socket may be embedded in the plastic. The stator core may be constructed as in Specification 702,499.
