Abstract
739,896. Cooling dynamo-electric machines. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. July 13, 1954 [July 13, 1953], No. 20481/54. Class 35. Flexible tubing for the flow of coolant, e.g. water, is disposed between a stator and the housing and terminates in connectors secured to the exterior of the latter. As shown, the tubing 15 is of insulating material or insulated metal and in addition to embracing the end windings 11 may be disposed between the stator core and casing around projections 21a on the stator core. The tubing terminals at couplings 38 secured to the casing exterior. The tubing material may be fused into the end winding insulation.
